A lot has been said about Kaltern and many more-or-less famous authors have written stories and poems about this place. People with an eye for beauty have always been especially attracted to the lake with its warm water, surrounded by vineyards.
These days you will find boats and wind-surfers on the lake. The fishermen come in the early morning hours and the "love birds" in the evening - all of them enchanted by the gentle rocking of the waves.
